Working in the rural Black Belt of Alabama, Georgia, and the Mississippi Delta, Southern Rural Black Women’s Initiative engages women in advocacy and policy initiatives that redirect local, state, and federal resources to help ensure women’s full participation and access to economic and social justice. Noyes funding leveraged organizing strategies through six human rights commissions across the Mississippi Delta fighting for secured K-12 education for girls and quality and accessible women’s reproductive healthcare.
