Marc Diaz

Marc Diaz serves as Chief Commercialization Officer at Terviva, bringing to market a new agricultural
crop by investing in communities to regenerate land and improve livelihoods. Marc leads Terviva’s
global work to scale the farming of pongamia oilseed trees, which produce food, feed, and fuel that
mitigate and adapt to climate change.

Earlier, Marc spent a decade as an impact investing field leader where he launched and led
NatureVest, the impact investing platform of The Nature Conservancy, and introduced the
UNICEF Bridge Fund (now the UNICEF Impact Fund for Children), where he also served as Managing
Director. He began his career in management consulting at McKinsey & Company serving public,
private and nonprofit sector clients while in New York and Washington, DC.

Marc is a Herndon Directors Institute Fellow, a 2017 Aspen Institute Finance Leaders Fellow, and a
member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network. He is on the President’s Council of Ceres, a
leading NGO making the business case for sustainability. He serves as a Vice-Chair of the Board of
Tides, a grassroots social justice-focused nonprofit. Marc has served in volunteer board leadership
roles in community development finance, theater, and The Episcopal Church.

Marc earned his MBA with distinction from Harvard Business School and holds an MPA from Harvard
Kennedy School. He graduated cum laude with a BA in Government from Harvard College.
